Bob Thomas

Bob is a Partner based in Stockholm and joined Oxx in 2018. As our first hire in Stockholm, Bob has been integral in building out our people-first philosophy and specialist SaaS investment focus. Bob is both a finance industry veteran and has an operator background. He works closely with our portfolio companies to professionalise their organisation, introduce talent and customers, and develop investor relationships. As a previous SaaS CFO, he is also particularly experienced in supporting companies to scale their Finance function.

Bob has deep expertise supporting SaaS companies across stages: he’s both an angel investor and early-stage SaaS mentor, and his extensive background in M&A and capital raising transactions has made him an expert in corporate development and exit strategies.

As well as his focus on the Nordics, Bob has backed companies in the API, AI and enterprise data management ecosystems. Bob has applied his specialist SaaS expertise to work with companies in many sectors including proptech, cybersecurity, sustainability and more.

Prior to joining Oxx, Bob was a Vice President at Torch Partners, advising on M&A and capital raising transactions for technology businesses in the consumer internet and enterprise SaaS sectors, including several transactions for ZPG plc and Just Eat plc. Prior to Torch Partners, Bob was a strategy consultant with LEK. Bob was also previously CFO of a SaaS business in the logistics sector.

Bob holds an MA in Philosophy from Trinity College, Cambridge, and is a CFA Charterholder.
