Keith Robinson

London
Senior Advisor
Keith has spent close to 30 years in the software industry, sitting in just about every chair there is — investing, banking, operating, consulting — and what keeps him in it is the same thing that drew him in: the energy of working with people who are building something. He co-founded a hedge fund in San Francisco, helped build one of Europe's leading M&A advisory firms, ran corporate strategy at the UK's largest software company, and led technology banking coverage across EMEA. He joined Oxx as a Senior advisor in 2026.

At Oxx, Keith contributes to the investment process and has played a central role in building the Oxxpert programme — drawing on a network built over three decades to bring in senior operators who add real value to portfolio companies. He joined the firm because it invests the way he thinks it should be done: fair, disciplined, serious about value creation, and a team of people whose first instinct is to get the answer right rather than defend their own position.

The culture supports open and honest debate — active but constructive disagreement — and everyone leaning in to get to the best result. Oxx exhibits a truly “no ego” culture.

His sector expertise is concentrated in the Office of the CFO and Office of the CHRO software sub-sectors, but he’s active across the entirety of the software landscape at some point in his career. He’s particularly focused on how AI changes these markets: how revenue models shift from subscriptions to outcomes, how pricing and packaging evolve, and what compliance and trust looks like when agentic and human actors work alongside each other.

Keith was an early team member at Arma Partners, helping grow the firm into one of the most active M&A boutiques in the UK and Europe. He co-founded Lamond Capital Partners, a San Francisco-based technology hedge fund backed by Renaissance Technologies’ founder. As Chief Strategy Officer at Sage Group plc, he deployed over $2bn in M&A and venture investments and was part of the leadership team that transformed the business to cloud — building a captive SaaS business within Sage that is now roughly $1bn in ARR, growing 25% year-on-year. Most recently, as Chairman of EMEA Technology Banking at Barclays, he built the firm’s technology coverage model across Europe and advised on landmark transactions including the Qualtrics/Thoma Bravo deal.

Keith now runs Foundation Partners, a multi-strategy software investment platform, and maintains active angel investments and board positions, with exits including Omnipresent (acquired by Deel) and 7bridges (acquired by IFS).

American-born, raised in the UK – a move that opened his eyes early to a bigger, more diverse world and instilled a curiosity that’s never gone away. Outside of work, he’s a father of two, a padel player, a Chelsea supporter, and a baker. His orange cake, by all accounts, is pretty amazing.
