Oxx achieves Level 1 Certification in first Diversity VC Standard cohort

We're proud to be one of the first funds to join and achieve Level 1 of the Diversity VC Standard, a certification that sets a benchmark for best practice on Diversity and Inclusion in venture capital. The certification is a major milestone in making the venture capital industry and wider ecosystem a fairer, more inclusive and better represented space.

Passing the assessment and achieving certification communicates to our partners, entrepreneurs, LPs and industry peers that our values align with yours. Most importantly, our participation in the Diversity VC Standard is an ongoing commitment, continuing to holding us accountable as we endeavour to fund a better, more inclusive future.

To achieve Level 1 certification, funds must have Diversity and Inclusion programmes in place across Recruiting and HR, Internal Policy and Culture, Dealflow Sources and Portfolio Guidance. Funds must also have an organisational D&I strategy and a D&I Champion, and commit to practices including measuring D&I as a metric, implementing policies reducing biases in hiring processes and tracking sourcing demographics.

The certification signals the Oxx team's commitment to continue developing our Diversity and Inclusion policies in line with best in class practices. We're delighted to back this certification - and we'd encourage our peers to do the same. The Diversity VC Standard has been pioneered with 11 European funds in the first cohort: Oxx, Ada Ventures, Anthemis, Atomico, Augmentum, Balderton, BGF, EF, Frontline Ventures, Notion Capital and OMERS.
